Phoenix Urban Walk: Spring Song

Love it: historic Phoenix, an urban revival, coffee and a walk amongst the flowering trees and singing bird.

The weather in late winter in Phoenix is absolutely exhilarating.  It’s also why I got burned during the Willo 2010 home tour walking from home to home: red as the brick homes.

Another area worthy walking, amongst many, is Roosevelt Historic district especially this time of year and when you see the Flowering Pear tree you can see throughout the valley.

A later morning coffee with a book at the Gold Spot followed by a stroll seems a fitting way to spend some free time.  What’s so wonderful about this neighborhood is that you can actually walk from the coffee shop through the neighborhoods and you get to see actual people doing similar things instead of getting in and out of cars.  The photo above is of that tree next to Isabell Court.

Joanna took a walk and also took a photo of the Flowering Pear in Willo.  The fragrance and bright white beauty of this tree is wonderful refreshing: a precursor to how lush Phoenix may look after the more then normal rain we had this winter.
